Last week against Dennington the Power led by seven goals at quarter-time before going on to lose by one. Against the Cats the turnaround in fortunes was even more dramatic with the Power holding a 17-8 lead at the first break before losing 41-31. Kolora-Noorat coach Glenice Justin was shattered her team had missed a winning opportunity.
“Allansford is a very good team and it is a hard lesson we have received two weeks in a row that against the best teams you need to maintain your intensity for four quarters,” Justin said. “We let it slip when we shouldn’t have, as a team that is the next step we need to take, to be able to cope with that high pressure that finals bring.”
While the finals did not go to plan, Justin said she was happy with the Power’s achievement of finishing third on the ladder.
