The team-up was named the winner of the Victorian Industry Collaboration Award at Friday night’s ceremony at The Palladium at Crown in Melbourne.
When the South West TAFE-Lyndoch Living collaboration began in 2014, it was thought to be the first partnership of its kind in Victoria and involved aged care students completing their entire course onsite at Lyndoch Living.
Minister for training and skills Steve Herbert congratulated the winners in each of the categories and said they represented the brightest and the best of Victoria’s vocational education and training sector.
The awards were held as part of National Skills Week and aim to showcase innovation and excellence in the TAFE and training sector.
The winners shared in more than $110,000 in prize money.
