Support Group co-ordinator Andrew Suggett said about 200 people braved the cold conditions.
“In excess of 200 people came along,” he said. “That’s a terrific number.”
Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition and it’s estimated there are about 80,000 Australians living with it.
Mr Suggett said he was impressed with how well supported the walk was.
“I think it was a great example in promoting Parkinson’s awareness,” he said. “I was thrilled to see so many people with Parkinson’s doing the walk.” The support group meets on the first Wednesday of every month.
