A leader in Red Cross and bush nursing, Mrs Hindhaugh died last week aged 71. The former Balmoral resident was a noted author and penned many books. One of her most notable works was It Wasn’t Meant to be Easy: Tamie Fraser in Canberra, a biography on her sister who was Australia’s first lady from 1975 to 1983.
