Club officials are this week finalising the donation after their annual charity event on Sunday, a five-kilometre race centred on Flagstaff Hill.
Charlie Edney took handicap honours, clocking an adjusted time of 29 minutes, 25 seconds. His time edged out John Hart (31.17) and Craig Bramley (33.31).
Tom Hynes was the first runner home in a slick 16.03 while Alicia Boyd clocked 20.28 to be the leading female.
WAC president John Keats said 56 runners braved the morning chill.
“Any money raised for charity is fantastic. We appreciate people coming out on a cold Sunday morning to run,” he said.
