Masked robbers threaten staff
Robbers wearing masks threatened staff and patrons with a firearm during a robbery in Melbourne's west on Saturday night. Unsuspecting punters tried to enter Club Laverton after the robbery only to find it in lockdown and crawling with police. More here.
Search for missing dirt bike rider
Police are currently searching in Merbein West for a dirt bike rider, Rade Prusac. The 24-year-old was last seen early afternoon near Wallpolla Island where he was riding with two others. Read here for more information.
Woman's motorised wheelchair stolen
Police are investigating the theft of a motorised wheelchair from Alphington on Thursday. Investigators believe a 73-year-old woman left her blue wheelchair outside a church on Brougham Street in the evening only to find it missing when the service ended. More here.
Investigation into fatal collision in Wollert
Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Wollert on Saturday afternoon. It is believed that a blue Ford Falcon collided with a white Holden Commodore along Bridge Inn Road at about 3.30pm. The driver of the Ford, a 30-year-old Mernda man, died at the scene. Read more.

The brother of Cecil the lion who was killed by an American dentist in Zimbabwe was killed on Saturday, a conservation group claimed. However, a researcher monitoring the pride says the report is wrong. Read more here.
