The fire at a Park Road house, located west of the Camperdown town centre, was reported at 6.40pm with firefighters on scene shortly after.
One person was at home at the time of the fire and had to evacuate the building. The fire was brought under control by 7.25pm.
Camperdown, Cobden, Tesbury, Weerite, Boorcan and Bookar CFA brigades all attended the fire.
