Shane Northcott, 33, of Fleetwood Court, unsuccessfully applied for bail in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody until August 24.
Police told the court officers saw the unlicensed Mr Northcott driving an unregistered white Holden Commodore about 7pm on Friday, July 24.
Senior Constable Lee Stewart said a search of Mt Northcott’s mobile phone uncovered evidence of drug trafficking to about 10 people between July 18 and July 24.
He said the trafficking was of a high level and involved crystal methyl amphetamine eight balls – deals of 3.6 grams.
Ice has a street value at $1000 a gram and is usually sold in lots of .1 of a gram.
Magistrate Peter Mellas queried whether the ice was being sold as grams or points, such was the high level of the transactions.
Senior Constable Stewart said Mr Northcott also had a picture of what appeared to be 19.8 grams of ice on a set of scales.
He said police had not yet charged Mr Northcott with offences after finding an emergency key to an Audi in his possession.
Mr Northcott has a significant criminal history and is on a six-month suspended jail sentence.
Framlingham resident Graeme Harradine told the court he was a friend of Mr Northcott and said the accused man could live with him at Kirrae Avenue, Framlingham.
The magistrate said Mr Northcott had been charged with serious offences, police looked to have a strong case and Mr Northcott was already on bail for possessing and using amphetamines.
Mr Mellas said the only accommodation option appeared to be housing Mr Northcott in one of the most vulnerable communities while he did not have a job and there was no treatment plan in place.
"The court can't simply take his word for it," Mr Mellas said.
The magistrate found Mr Northcott was an unacceptable risk of reoffending.
