The Western Plains Handspinners, Weavers and Craft Group will host its annual showcase with a range of artistic material on display.
Group secretary Pam Andrew said a head gear competition was set to be one of the highlights over the two-day event.
“We have everything- spinning, dyeing, weaving, felting, jewellery, folk art,” Mrs Andrew said.
“Things like spinning and weaving are really fun to learn. I studied it at TAFE in 1981 and I’ve been interested in it ever since. That’s why we’re holding demonstrations at the craft show.”
The showcase will be held at the Mortlake Soldiers Memorial Hall from 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
