South Melbourne-based Tapper claimed gold in the class 9-10 women’s singles at the Thailand Para Open at Pattaya. She won her two pool matches and defeated Chinese Taipei’s Shiau Wen Tian 11-3, 11-5, 11-5 in a semi-final. The decider was a similarly lopsided affair, with Tapper accounting for compatriot Andrea McDonnell 11-7, 11-2, 11-4.
