NINE community groups in the south-west dairy region have received a total of $36,000 from the Gardiner Foundation and the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR).

The groups include the Terang DemoDAIRY Cooperative Ltd, Allansford Recreation Reserve Farm, Terang Mortlake Health Services, Terang Kindergarten and the Koroit and District Preschool that will each receive a grant of up to $5000.
Other recipients include the Noorat and District Agricultural and Pastoral Society, Advance Camperdown, Colac Secondary College and the Kawarren Recreation Reserve.
They were among 28 recipients that received more than $100,000 of funds through the 2015 Working in Dairy Communities Small Grants program that aims to strengthen small Victorian dairy communities.
The grants will support the recipient communities provide important community services such as activity groups, training facilities and arts and crafts.
