Craft Alive events manager Brett Dowling said quilting and patchwork were making a big resurgence but other crafts such as card making, scrap booking and bead making also attracted strong interest.
Thousands of people visited the three-day annual event at the Warrnambool Arc Netball Stadium that began on Friday. The event brought about 50 craft suppliers from throughout Australia to Warrnambool along with demonstrators who taught new craft skills to participants at “make and take” workshops.
Mr Dowling said the event drew people not only from the Warrnambool area but also from as far as Mount Gambier and Hamilton.
