The poll had been running for the past week and asked if people were in support of same-sex marriage. It attracted 1056 votes with 758, or 71 percent, of people voting yes. While the poll is not scientific, it reflects results of other polls. A poll commissioned by Australian Marriage Equality (AME) in 2014 showed 72 per cent supported legalising same-sex marriage.
