CAMPERDOWN police are seeking information after thieves attempted to break into two businesses on the weekend.
Sergeant Sally Slingsby said a window was jemmied open and a cash tin stolen from Deiter McDonald Plumbing and Gasfitting in Scott Street.
Nothing was stolen in an attempted burglary at Camperdown Quality Meats in Manifold Street.
Mortlake police intercepted a man in his 60s about 9pm on Sunday night in Kerr Street with an alleged blood alcohol reading of .167.
Hamilton police are investigating the theft of mechanic’s tools valued at $4000 from an earthmoving company shed on Portland Road last week.
A Coleraine couple has been charged in relation to a series of alcohol thefts from the Coleraine IGA supermarket in the past few weeks.
They will appear in the Hamilton Magistrates Court on November 14.
