A HAMILTON engineering service was thrust into the spotlight when the Southern Grampians Shire business achievement awards were announced on Friday night.
Moose Engineering was named business of the year and took out the excellence in manufacturing award during the annual presentation ceremony at the town’s exhibition and conference centre.
The Hamilton branch of Victorian retail chain Darriwill Farm also received recognition for its cafe restaurant chef Jordan Lanigan who was named employee of the year.
The businesses were among several commended on their excellence in performance and outstanding customer service.
Coleraine agribusiness Vickery Brothers Pty Ltd’s Geoff Vickery was inducted into the Southern Grampians Shire business achievement Hall of Fame.
Southern Grampians Shire mayor Bob Penny congratulated this year’s winners.
“The standard of entries for this year’s Powercor ACE Radio Southern Grampians Shire Business Achievement Awards was again exceptionally high,” he said.
“Our community can look forward to the future with confidence when we see such high levels of business and community skills on display.”
Former Australian cricket team media manager Lachy Patterson kept the crowd entertained as the guest speaker.
