Hose's wheelchair rugby team played Canada in the men's wheelchair rugby gold medal match last night, ending the nation's 2012 Games campaign on a high with a 66-51 victory.
The win secured Australia's first gold medal in wheelchair rugby and could be the first of a dynasty with a young squad represented this year.
The Aussies defeated Japan 59-45 in the semi-final, while Canada upset USA winning 50-49.
Australia overcame Canada 64-52, Sweden 60-47 and Belgium 58-43 in its pool matches.
