Melbourne's auction market has held steady on the second weekend of the spring selling season.
The Real Estate Institute of Victoria said the clearance rate was 60 per cent for the 454 results reported. The outcome of another 68 scheduled sales are still unknown.
The sales performance was 62 per cent last weekend, and 55 per cent for the same time last year.
REIV spokesman Robert Larocca said the number of properties going under the hammer was set to increase in the weeks leading up to the Grand Final.
