A trip to the Gold Coast on Friday night, when Mr Judd was recognised for his years of service to the AutoPro brand, becoming only the third person to be included in its fledgling hall of fame. “I was a bit taken aback by it all, there were plenty of people who wanted to pat me on the back afterwards,” he said.
“It’s a real honour and it’s something I’ll always remember.”
Mr Judd was responsible for starting the now national “dealer council” after realising franchisees in close proximity to each other needed to communicate better.
He said it became a very popular model which eventually grabbed the attention of the national office and was implemented around the country.
“I served as dealer council president for four years and when I finished up in the role I was given an award which I thought was quite enough,” he said.
“But I’m glad I went. It was a great night and really well put together.”
