The experienced Derrinallum couple took out the A. C. Scott Perpetual Trophy for having the highest aggregate points after the six-month season.
They held out their son, Warrnambool’s Allan Noone, who grabbed second. Camperdown’s Alister King was third.
The aggregate trophy was among five awards presented at the end-of-season function at Derrinallum’s Front Paddock Cafe and Larder last week.
Among others, Allan Noone took out the post-Christmas pennant title and the R. and N. Snibson Perpetual Trophy.
The “Snibbo” is awarded to the highest points scorer during the final three rounds of the season.
Koroit’s Michael Wright and Lou Hollis won the pre-Christmas pennant title while Mark Dixon won the inaugural Ian Lane encouragement award.
Fiona Noone said the club started its season on Derrinallum’s Deep Lake but low water levels forced a shift to Lake Purrumbete, near Camperdown.
She thanked Glen and Bernie Place and the Finlayson family for providing access to the waterfront via their properties.
Club members also contested regional regattas at Stawell, Port Fairy, Portland and Warrnambool along with the popular Easter regatta on Lake Bullen Merri.
