The 24-year-old guided the Terry and Karina O’Sullivan trained Majestic Duke to victory in the benchmark 70 1400m handicap. It was Hall’s 15th career win.
“It’s still early days for me, it means a lot to me to win at the Warrnambool carnival,” she said. She started riding track work for David Noonan about four years ago before joining O’Sullivan’s stable.
O’Sullivan was delighted with Hall’s ride on Majestic Duke. “We are rapt, she got a bit of a rap over the knuckles for her ride on Tuesday on Welcome Invader but she made it up for today,” he said.
O’Sullivan claimed his first winner at the carnival since 2010 with what was his last chance this week. He and Hall have no runners today.
Majestic Duke ($10) scored a half-head win over the Darren Weir-trained $5.50-favourite Burning Front while the Jane Baker-trained Deliberate ($21) was a further three-quarters of a length away third.
