Cobden netballer Alicia Blain polled in every one of the last 13 games of the season en route to a best-and-fairest award.
The 14-year-old goal attack had just three votes after five rounds of the season, but soon discovered a rich and consistent vein of form in the Bombers' goal circle.
She finished with 29 votes from 14 matches in the 15-and-under count, including five best-on-court performances, to cap a stunning season with the top individual accolade.
Camperdown's Olivia Hickey was second with 28 votes, while Port Fairy's Lucy Martin was third with 26.
Alicia said she was surprised, but excited, to win the award.
She said she thought Magpie Olivia and South Warrnambool's Olivia Niddrie would leave City Memorial Bowls Club with the prize last night.
"I didn't really expect it. I thought I might come fourth," she said.
"I thought there were other girls better than me."
Alicia, of Cooriemungle, said she had worked hard during the season, but had also enjoyed the campaign under coach Katherine Robertson.
"She's really good. She's taught me a lot of skills. She's fun at training but is also serious at the same time."
The best-and-fairest award is the second netball success for Alicia this season.
She was also a part of the Kate Kearney-coached Hampden representative side that won the statewide W. M. Loud championships earlier this year.
Her Cobden side defeated Warrnambool in the 15 and under elimination final at the weekend and will take on North Warrnambool Eagles in the first semi-final on Sunday.
Alicia said she had relished training and playing in the representative squad environment.
"Kate taught us girls a lot of skills and different things I never knew," she said.
