Two people have been arrested after a nine-year-old girl was shot yesterday in Victoria's east.
The girl was shot in the buttocks while playing with her brother in the backyard of their Traralgon home about 5.30pm yesterday.
The girl had minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment. Police believe an air rifle was used in the incident.
Police arrested a man, 29, and a woman, 30, in Traralgon about 3.30pm today.
A spokeswoman said the two were helping detectives "with their inquiries".
