Hamilton prang leaves no injuries

TWO cars were damaged but no one was injured in a minor accident in Hamilton yesterday.

Police said the accident occurred around 5.40pm at the intersection of King Street and Bree Road when a driver failed to stop and give way at a stop sign, causing a collision between a Ford ute and a Toyota 4WD.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Paramedics attended the accident as a precaution but neither female drivers were injured.

Police thanked those who stopped to assist and comfort the drivers until officers and paramedics arrived, but warned that drivers should turn off and take another route if they can see an accident ahead, rather than trying to squeeze past the scene.

The offending driver will receive a penalty notice.
