REIGNING Hampden league premier Koroit dented Terang Mortlake's standing as a flag contender with a 68-point thumping on Anzac Day.

The Saints bounced back from a round one loss to arch rival Warrnambool with an impressive first quarter into a strong wind at Terang Recreation Reserve.
Koroit kicked 5.4 to 0.2 as it set up a commanding advantage. Koroit extended the buffer to 52 points at half-time and despite a spirited third term where Terang Mortlake outscored the Saints, the margin was never less than five goals.
Trailing by 33 points at the last break, Terang Mortlake needed to start the final term well but a goal by Koroit small forward Drew O'Grady 19 seconds in sealed the result. From there Koroit marched away, kicking seven goals to one for the term as they won 17.14 (116) to 7.6 (48).
Sam Dobson kicked six goals for the Saints but teenage midfielder James Gow was best on ground with an impressive role in the midfield.
The result leaves Terang Mortlake win-less after two games.
Camperdown is unbeaten from two matches under new coach Phil Carse after it won a slog in the wet against arch rival Cobden at Leura Oval.
The Magpies prevailed 5.12 (42) to 3.4 (22).
While the Magpies were delighted with the result, they are sweating on the fitness of key midfielder Luke Clarke, who suffered a corked calf in the first term and never took any further part in the game.
Cobden co-coach Paul Foster's 200th senior game with the Bombers was ruined in the third term when he suffered an ankle injury that has him in doubt for next week's match against Warrnambool. He did not take any further part in the match.
The Hamilton Kangaroos had less centre clearances and entries inside their forward 50-metre arc yet they still managed a two-goal win over arch rival Portland at Melville Oval.
The Kangaroos made the most of their forward moves, kicking 9.6 (60) to 5.18 (48).
Kangaroos skipper Hamish Waldron was named best on ground, receiving the Ted Kenna VC medal. Fittingly, he scored a crucial goal late in the match for his side as they led by four goals. Portland teenager Jay Moody kicked the last two goals of the game.
But the celebrations were tempered for the Kangaroos with talented youngster Tom Feely taken to hospital with concussion after a heavy clash in the last minute of the match.
