Downside to gay laws

Our federal government wishes to pass laws allowing gay marriage.

Unfortunately in countries that have passed a gay marriage law it has been used in conjunction with anti-discrimination laws to be used against Christianity and freedom of speech

For example, in Canada an individual who published a notice of the Bible’s condemnation of gay life was fined $3000.

In UK Christian adoption agencies have been forced to close for refusing to adopt children to gay couples. No freedom of conscience was allowed.

In Melbourne a Christian holiday camp was fined many thousand for refusing a gay seminar group to hold a weekend camp for youth.  No freedom of the right of conscience to refuse accommodation for religious reasons.

Australia was a signatory of the 1948 United Nations Charter of Human Rights, which guarantees freedom of choice of religion, choice of education of one’s children and freedom of speech.

This charter was broken twice by the previous Victorian Labour government and now the federal Labour government want to break it with gay marriage laws.
