The charred remains of a suspected homicide victim found in a burnt out car a week ago have been identified as those of a Vietnamese-born man with a drug past.

The body of Dung Tri Pham, 40, was found in the back seat of the burning car after emergency services responded to reports of an expolsion in Eumemmerring on March 26.
The red 2011 Holden Commodore sedan, belonging to Mr Pham, of Hallam, had been dumped in a car park on Olive Road Reserve, off Frawley Road, about 11.50pm.
Mr Pham had a known history of involvement with the drug trade, which has formed part of the investigation into his suspected murder.
He immigrated to Australia with his family from Vietnam in 1983 and was living in Hallam at the time of his death.
His parents, two brothers and three sisters have requested privacy while they grieve.
Sergeant Sharon Darcy said Mr Pham's family were "deeply affected by his death and are seeking a resolution to this crime".
Detectives are seeking any information about Mr Pham, particularly in regards to his final movements on the night of his death.
The vehicle Mr Pham's body was located in had the registration number ZHF967.
