The combined churches event will start from Cannon Hill at 11am and follow a route through Lake Pertobe, stopping at eight points for prayer and Bible readings.
“It is a coming together of people from across our community and churches who share with Jesus in His journey of confronting darkness and evil,” Uniting Church minister the Reverend Malcolm Frazer said.
“Everyone who seeks a better way to respond to violence and the challenges of our world is welcome to join us.
“The Way of the Cross provides opportunities to pray for our community, organisations, council and educational institutions as well as the marginalised.
“Whatever the conditions, we will walk on — a sentiment that echoes how we are called to live and respond to whatever life might throw at us.”
An Easter Sunday service at 6.30am on Cannon Hill has also been organised by the combined churches group.
