Planned burns are being carried out in Gorae, on the Portland Nelson Road and authorities say smoke may be visable from Portland, Heywood, Gorae, Gorae West, Mt Richmond, Cashmore, Cape Bridgewater, Drumborg, Bolwarra, Heathmere, Greenwald.
The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), Parks Victoria and CFA are doing planned burns to reduce the risk of bushfire to people, property and communities.
They say road travel may be hazardous due to low visibility associated with smoke and ask motorists to obey all traffic signs and instructions from fire agency crews near the burn.
