PART of Griffiths Street in Port Fairy has been blocked off after a gas leak near a residence.
Police and the CFA were called to the scene around 1.30pm after it was believed an excavator struck a gas pipe.
The street was blocked off to traffic towards the Port Fairy Yacht Club end.
Emergency services are waiting on gas company representatives and Powercor staff to attend the scene.
