Police said a fight errupted among 15 people outside the hotel on Station Street in the town of Wallan, north of Melbourne, shortly before 1.30am on March 15.

One man, who was at the hotel celebrating his 21st birthday, suffered facial injuries and lost a tooth in the fight.

Another man required plastic surgery after his mouth was badly injured.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the brawl to come forward.

"We'd really like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident," Constable Todd Fels said.

"There were several people involved and quite a number of other patrons there that night, so we know there will be stories circulating the area.

"We'd really like to hear the stories too."
