About 35 classic machines including BSAs, Triumphs, Royal Enfields and Nortons in pristine restored condition plied roads around the Grampians and travelled south to Caramut and Mortlake.
“It’s our passion to restore and ride,” said Hamilton club member Gavan Ryan, who helped organise the weekend with his wife Sandra.
“Most of the bikes would be from 1960 through to 1975.
“Many of us have several other bikes which we’ve restored or are in the process.
“All up we would have had 80 people turn up, including partners and support vehicle drivers. It was also a good social catch-up around a campfire and spit roast at Dunkeld.”
Many of the participants will mingle again during the Anzac Day weekend at Newstead for the all-British rally which normally attracts up to 1000 participants.
