A man has died in hospital three weeks after being hit by a car in Melbourne's north.

The man, 92, was crossing a service road in Hadfield when he was struck by car reversing out of a West Street car park about 1.40pm.
He fell to the ground and struck his head, suffering life-threatening injuries.
The Pascoe Vale man was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital but died on Saturday morning.
His death brings the state's road toll to 48, two more than for this time last year.
The driver, a 62-year-old Glenroy man, has been assisting police with their enquires.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
