A Laverton man is fighting for his life after he was shot in the head early on Saturday morning.

The 33-year-old arrived at his home in Melbourne's west just before 6am, and collapsed from a gunshot wound. Emergency services were called to the scene.
Paramedics took the man to The Alfred hospital where he was placed in an induced coma.
Detectives from Hobson's Bay's Crime Investigation Unit were investigating the shooting.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said no one is in custody, and police have yet to determine where the suspected shooting took place or find a weapon.
The Alfred hospital's spokeswoman said the man remained in a critical but stable condition on Saturday afternoon.
