Number 81 High Street, Koroit, a Victorian-style home with splendid gardens, sold for $420,000.
Brian O’Halloran and Co. auctioneer Brian Hancock said about 50 people turned up to the auction.
“A lady came straight out with an opening bid of $420,000 and there were no further bids,” Mr Hancock said.
“After discussions with the vendors, it was accepted.
“A lady from Port Fairy who fell in love with the home has bought it. It was a good fair price for the vendors and purchasers.”
A three-bedroom home on a 1000-square-metre block at 8803 Princes Highway, Panmure, sold for $125,000.
Century 21 Lifestyle Warrnambool real estate agent Rodney Roberts said bidding started at $70,000.
“About 15 people attended the auction,” he said.
“Both vendors and purchasers were rapt with the sale.”
