Keller suffered two fractured vertebrae in a high-speed rollover during the final heat race of the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic at Allansford’s Premier Speedway last Sunday.
His car completed five end-to-end flips down the back straight before crashing down on all four wheels.
Premier Speedway general manager David Mills said Keller spent three nights in Warrnambool Base Hospital before being discharged on Wednesday.
Mills said his family believed Keller would make a full recovery but he would be sidelined for four to six months.
The club’s crash crew, State Emergency Service volunteers and paramedics spent about 30 minutes delicately extricating him from the car after he reported back pain.
