Robert Conn, 69, previously of Grauers Road, Allansford, appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court this week charged with nine counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The prosecution alleged Mr Conn had contacted people before, during and after a committal hearing on the arson charge on February 3, 4 and 5 last year.
Three charges relating to incidents before and after the committal hearing were yesterday discharged by magistrate Peter Mellas.
Mr Conn was committed to stand trial in Warrnambool County Court on six charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice arising from his conduct during the arson committal hearing.
