Victoria meets New South Wales in the national short-form decider at Canberra’s Manuka Oval.
Selectors yesterday named a 14-player squad for the match, with Kearney holding her spot after impressing in the one-day semi-final last Friday, despite the Spirit losing to the Breakers.
She conceded 14 runs from 10 miserly overs and snared the wicket of Australian representative Rachael Haynes. NSW finished first and Victoria second on the WT20 ladder after the 12-round season, which wrapped up earlier this month. They shared the spoils in their two matches in early January.
The grand final, which starts at 2pm and is live on One HD, is a curtain-raiser to the Big Bash League decider between Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers at the same ground.
