A car packed with teenagers on a wild ride in Melbourne's south-east was clocked travelling at 220km/h on Saturday morning, police say.

Police were horrified to discover a 15-year-old behind the wheel of the speeding blue Holden Commodore just before 2.30am in Mulgrave.
Five other male teens were on board when police say the car was caught driving at nearly three times the legal speed limit.
Police were alerted to the car, as it headed east on the Princes Highway, by the front-seat passenger who hung out the window of the speeding sedan and yelled abuse at officers who had intercepted another car on the highway.
The car then sped off and turned left into Wellington Road where it reached speeds of 220km/h in the 80km/h zone, police allege.
Police pulled it over and found six males all aged between 15 and 17 years old. Four, including the 17-year-old owner from Pakenham, were crammed into the back seat and were not wearing seatbelts.
The 15-year-old driver from Hampton Park was released pending summons and is expected to be charged with a raft of driving offences including conduct endangering life, speed and manner dangerous, and unlicensed driving.
The car was impounded for 30 days and its teenage owner will have to pay more than $700 to have it returned.
