Bill and Kay Stafford took over the franchise in September with their children Damian and Aleesa and Mrs Stafford decided on a whim to purchase some candy canes for their customers.
They hung them on wires at the counter, creating a festive display and offered them to customers for free as a way to celebrate with them.
"I'd say 'you can have one' and they'd say 'they're free?' I walked around the corner and I was giving them out as they were coming in the door.
"It takes nothing to be nice...It's all good fun I enjoy it," she said.
She said her mum was sitting in the car as people left the convenience store and it was unbelievable the number of smiles on people's faces.
"It was just off the top of my head I said to (daughter) Leesy we should do something Christmas Day," she said.
The family hope to run similar promotions for their customers on New Year's Day and during Easter.
