Boys Town Prize Homes announced ‘G from Warrnambool’ as the winner of its latest lottery on its Facebook page yesterday.
The man won the Gold Coast property, $200,000 in gold bullion, a $105,490 furniture and electrical package, a $1500 travel voucher and a $1809 Christmas tree and presents.
The prize package has a total value of $2,653,993.
Boys Town fund-raising general manager Keith Coventry said the Warrnambool man was in shock and lost for words when told of his win.
“The funds from the lottery are used for disadvantaged young people right across Australia in employment and training, counselling and support services,” he said.
“One of our other services is Kids Help Line. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Over 230,000 young people call that service every year.”
The beachside property is on the ninth floor of the Sanbano residential tower in Coolangatta and features ocean and hinterland views.
It has three bedrooms, all with their own balconies.
