Hamilton police said the 40-year-old began fighting with three people at the Merino Hotel after a verbal argument at 8.50pm.
Two men were hospitalised after the man allegedly assaulted them using a pool cue, while another person had lesser injuries.
The offender was remanded in custody and will appear in Warrnambool Magistrates' Court on Monday, expected to face serious assault charges.
