Cycling Australia released its National Road Series schedule yesterday, with the south-west’s two events again listed.
The Melbourne to Warrnambool will be held on October 17, a week later than the 2014 event, while the Tour of the Great South Coast will be held from August 12 to 16.
The women’s series has been expanded from eight events to 10 while the men’s series remains at 11 events.
The National Road Series is the feature series of the Australian domestic road cycling season and is considered a launching pad to the world stage.
The women’s series will begin at the Tour Down Under in January, while the men’s tour will start with the Tour de Perth in March.
