Police are investigating an attack on a door-to-door saleswoman who was stalked and indecently assaulted in a suburban street in Melbourne's north.

The 22-year-old was working in Avalon Avenue in Broadmeadows on October 21 when a teenager riding a bicycle started following her about 3pm.
Police said the offender gave his name as Brian and asked the victim a series of questions before getting off the bike and indecently assaulted her.
The victim managed to escape and contacted police.
"She was quite shaken up," Detective Senior Constable Jen Black said. "He's followed her for an hour on the bike, tried to instigate some conversation and then has assaulted her at the end."
The Fawkner sexual offences and child abuse investigation team have released an image the person they wish to speak to as part of their investigation.
He is described as Middle-Eastern in appearance with short black hair and is believed to be aged between 16 and 18. He was wearing a blue T-shirt and dark coloured shorts at the time.
