A SOUTH Australian man was yesterday released on bail after being arrested and charged on Sunday in Warrnambool with rape.

David Atkinson, 19, of Lodz Court, Hackham West, successfully applied for bail in Warrnambool Magistrates Court yesterday.
He has to report weekly to police until he has to reappear in court again on March 24 next year.
Mr Atkinson has been charged with rape and indecent assault of a girl aged under 16 years.
Police allege an incident happened last Thursday which led to the charges.
The slightly-built Mr Atkinson was arrested on Sunday and remanded overnight before yesterday’s court appearance.
