AN ICE user arrested after a high-speed chase with police in Warrnambool on Monday evening has been remanded in custody.

Emri Tekin, 19, of no fixed address, unsuccessfully applied for bail in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court yesterday.
He now faces about 80 charges and was remanded in custody to appear at the Sunshine Magistrates Court on November 11.
He was charged with 12 offences related to the Warrnambool police chase.
Mr Tekin has also been charged with another 16 offences in Warrnambool relating to burglaries, thefts, stealing a purse and using a bank card.
Other older offences dating back to February last year include thefts of cars, aggravated burglaries, dangerous driving, burglaries, thefts and multiple counts of failing to appear on bail.
In refusing bail, magistrate Michael Coghlan yesterday told Mr Tekin he was surprised how many times he had been granted bail.
Police said they were alerted by a member of the Warrnambool public to erratic driving by a vehicleat 7.20pm on Monday.
A check of the car’s registration plate indicated it was stolen from the Werribee district on Saturday.
A Warrnambool police highway patrol unit officer saw the car being driven along Raglan Parade between Fairy and Henna streets heading west.
The officer tried to intercept the vehicle but the driver sped off and during a five-minute pursuit the stolen car hit speeds of 150km/h in the west Warrnambool area.
The chase ended when Mr Tekin’s vehicle clipped a Mitsubishi at the Laverock Road intersection near Norton Ford.
His car became wedged on bollards ouot front of the car yard, although Mr Tekin tried to drive off.
He then ran off but was quickly caught by police and resisted arrest before being taken to ground and placed in handcuffs.
Mr Tekin initially refused to tell police his name but further checks confirmed his identity and that he had failed to appear in court a number of times.
Three warrants were issued for his arrest on August 29 relating to an attempted robbery.
He also gave his mother’s address but she said he hadn’t lived with her for two years.
Mr Tekin said he had been using crystal methamphetamine for the past two years.
His Warrnambool charges include theft of a car, dangerous driving while being pursued, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, driving in a manner dangerous, driving at a dangerous speed, running a red light and arrow, resisting arrest, unlicensed driving and the theft of four packets of chips.
