The family-friendly race meeting had an abundance of activities for kids on offer.
Hamilton Racing Club manager Erin Penny said there was a great turnout and while organisers hadn’t finished tallying ticket sales yesterday, the crowd size was expected to eclipse last year’s.“There has been a wonderful family atmosphere,” she said. Kids were kept entertained with a craft corner, face-painting, a jumping castle, pony rides and a sports area.
Dorothy the Dinosaur was the star of the meeting, hosting a meet and greet for Wiggles fans.
The main race, the $60,000 Hamilton Cup, was taken out by Bunchloch, trained by Terry O’Sullivan.
Stylish racegoers also took to the stage in the Fashions on the Field competition.
Warrnambool’s Sharon Wilson took out the top prize in the women’s category.
