A rampant Panmure awaits on its home ground.
After missing the finals last season, Purnim is away to a flying start with victory in its first two games.
Recruits Bernie Harris and Richard McKellar have been among the runs in victories over Yambuk and Mailors Flat.
Panmure has used the opening two rounds to show its considerable strength in all aspects of the game.
In round one the Bulldogs bowlers knocked over Grassmere for 27, with Ken Jones taking the incredible figures of 4/6 from eight overs.
Panmure has been just as ruthless with the bat, having lost only three wickets over the course of its two successful run chases.
Association powerhouse Yambuk is chasing its first win of the season against Hawkesdale.
Yambuk’s chances will be boosted with opening batsmen Steve Gleeson named for his first game of the season, while young left-arm bowler Connor Umbers makes his debut.
Yambuk’s bowling and fielding stocks have taken a blow with pacemen Kevin McElgunn and Stuart Hill out, as well as wicketkeeper Colin Harwood.
Yambuk captain Brian Wilson is hoping his team can get on the winners’ list.
“Hawkesdale are going all right,” he said. “Darren Webb and Murray Habel will be hard to move at the top of the order and they have a reasonable attack as well.”
Grassmere will also be searching for its first win at home to Wangoom and reigning premier Killarney will start hot favourite when it hosts Mailors Flat.
