Detective Sergeant Mark James, of the Hamilton police crime investigation unit, said officers executed a warrant at a Stephen Street address at 8am yesterday looking for stolen property.
They found drugs and 29-year-old man was cautioned for possessing cannabis.
"There are inquiries ongoing into property located at the house which included personal items. Some of the items were identified but had not been reported stolen to police," Detective Sergeant James said.
"We would request anyone who has had items stolen from a vehicle to report the offence to Hamilton police as we may have that property," he said.
