WARRNAMBOOL teenagers Oliver Bidmade and Tanna Blackney-Noter will vie for Vic Country selection after receiving invites to the Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup.

The pair were among 30 under 18 players chosen to represent Vic Country’s male development teams at the country cup in Albury in January.
A final Vic Country roster for the 2015 under 18 national championships will be announced after the tournament.
It will consist of 10 squad players and five emergencies.
Oliver played at under 16 national titles in 2013 and was an emergency at under 18 level this year for a Vic Country team which boasted fellow Warrnambool tall Jeremy Bolden. Oliver and Tanna were selected for the country cup after impressing at trials in Shepparton last weekend.
They join 10 south-west players to make Vic Country development squads.
The under 14 and under 15 teams for the country cup and Southern Cross Challenge, which is in Ballarat, were announced last week.
Warrnambool’s Dominic Occhipinti, Isaac Thomas, Jay Rantall and Liam Herbert will compete at the Southern Cross Challenge at under 15 level, as will Portland’s Taylah Nelson.
Hamilton’s Meg Sutherland was selected for the tournament at under 14 level.
Warrnambool’s Marcus Herbert and Zeke Reeves, Portland’s Katie Zeunert and Terang’s Leah Bartlett were chosen for country cup under 14 teams.
