SOUTH-WEST police were involved in a pursuit with white Holden Statesman carrying no registration plates prior to 8am on Thursday morning.

Mortlake police Sergeant Matt Laxton said the vehicle was first noticed in Port Fairy about 6.40am.
The car is believed to have travelled through the Warrnambool area and was seen in the Cobden district before heading towards Mortlake.
Sergeant Laxton said the white Holden was overtaking dangerously across double lines along the Warrnambool-Cobden Road.
"People would have noticed it and we're asking them to please contact Mortlake police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000," he said..
